snippets is a project that aims to cultivate a greater body of repertoire for percussion by commissioning new works incorporating fixed media, live electronics, graphical scoring, textual scoring, improvisation, choice, and/or chance. in its first iteration, snippets tasked 11 composers to write a 3’ miniature for 1 of 3 instrumentations with an electronic component. snippets 2 featured new miniatures for snare drum involving only text, graphics, and/or choice. all collaborators are featured below.
